The National Institute of Mental Health and Neurosciences (NIMHANS) is conducting a Walk-in Interview to fill the following positions on a contract basis for the SKAN-funded project titled:
“Population-based cohorts across stroke life course and development of a comprehensive stroke care model at the district level: A demonstration project in India – SKAN NIMHANS Cohort Project.”
Available Positions:
1. Junior Statistician
- Vacancies: 1
- Qualification: M.Sc. in Biostatistics or a Master’s degree in Demography
- Experience: Preference will be given to candidates with experience in community work and proficiency in Kannada. Good communication skills and experience in data-related training are desirable.
- Responsibilities: Supporting the senior statistician and senior data manager in data collection, entry, cleaning, analysis, and management. The role also includes training the project team on data-related aspects and requires extensive travel to project sites.
- Salary: ₹60,000 per month (consolidated)
- Age Limit: 40 years
- Contract Duration: 6 months (extendable based on performance)
2. Field Data Collector
- Vacancies: 35
- Qualification: PUC, ITI, or a bachelor’s degree in Psychology, Social Work, Sociology, Rural Development, or Women’s Studies
- Skills: Strong interpersonal skills, the ability to conduct community-based data collection, and fluency in Kannada. Knowledge of Tamil, Telugu, or Hindi is preferred.
- Responsibilities: Planning and conducting field data collection, entering data on digital platforms, and participating in other community-related activities. The selected candidates will be based in Kolar, Bengaluru, or other project sites.
- Salary: ₹15,000 per month (consolidated)
- Age Limit: 40 years
- Contract Duration: 6 months (extendable based on performance)
